Mama Day

I was in hibernation mode today. This week has been rough. Eric and I got very sick on Monday and I was completely out of commission. Then yesterday I worked a really long day. So today I gathered up all my babies and declared them mine! I let Everett skip preschool and I wanted to soak them all up. Spend every minute together. And by 7 pm tonight, I was spent. It was a good day. I left our nice camera behind today and captured our day on my iPhone.

This morning I made the children oatmeal with honey and cinnamon. Then I declared to Everett that he was taking the day off preschool. He was excited to stay home. The boys decided that it would be fun to go to Dunkin Donuts. This is a rare treat, so we went. They each got four little munchkins in their own paper bag and were so happy. We then went to Target. They love looking at all the Christmas stuff out now.

They each got to pick a treat. Hampton chose this tiger and Everett chose a dinosaur.

After Target we went home and I put Eleanor down for a nap. We got a new movie at Target-Mickey Mouse saves Santa (they LOVE Mickey), so the boys watched that while I cleaned the kitchen, did laundry, and ate some breakfast of my own. Once Eleanor got up we all played downstairs until lunch. Everett loves writing letters and drawing on his doodle pad.

He labeled this creation- "pumpkin man."

For lunch I made them homemade macaroni and cheese, strawberries, and bananas. Then Hampton and Eleanor went down for their afternoon nap, while Everett watched Curious George and played downstairs. He then joined me upstairs where I prepared dinner and mopped. I really enjoy this one on on time with Ev. Once Hampy and Ellie got up we had to run to the bank (where they got lollipops!) and then we went home and played outdoor in the chilly 50 degree weather. I guess cold fresh air is better than no fresh air at all.

We then went inside and had supper-meatloaf and roasted carrots. Once Eric got home we had to make another quick trip to Target before heading home for bath, books, and bed! I had a much needed day with my babies. I ache for them when I am away and we definitely had some quality time today.
