Our Day

Today consisted of......

Doing art projects just me and my big boy while the little boy slept......

Getting a gingerbread latte from Starbucks and a pumpkin muffin which Everett reported was "oh so good!"

Playing with a kitchen set at one of the shops at Biltmore Village and Everett telling me it is what he wants for Christmas. "I cookin' Mama."

Everett doing a little shopping in the village. After talking with some passerbys, Ev says over his shoulder, "See ya later ladies."

Laid back Hampton just along for the ride......

While Everett continues to nap, Hamp and I attempt a photo shoot....

Everett is still napping, so we go outside to sweep the deck. I see he is eating a leaf, but take a quick picture. He later throws up the leaf!

After a much needed 4 hour nap, Everett wakes up a new man. We go back to crafting and wait for Eric to get home.

I love my days at home and the icing on the cake for this one was Eric coming home after his business trip (he went to Knoxville for the TN Baptist Convention). The babies were so happy to see him too, and Hampton has been saying "Dada" lately (to anything and everything)!

Sick

We can not go out today, said our little boy Evy Grey. We have the sniffles and the flu, we're throwing up and coughing too.
Our household has been sick! It started out with Eric feeling "funny" on Sunday morning. Then by Sunday night I began vomiting. 1:00 am, we awoke to Everett throwing up. Eric was so gracious to clean up that mess, since I could not move from being so weak. 4:00 am, we awoke to Hampton throwing up. Everett still had not gone back to sleep and Hampton was up for the day as well. It was time to call in reinforcements, and so we did. Eric called his mom who came up to help us for the day, thank goodness. Also, Eric had to delay leaving for his business trip until later in the day. We are better now. We are still not fully recovered with the respiratory stuff, but we are getting there. What an experience though! I have heard about passing the flu around to members of the family, but this was the first time we all experienced it. Praying for a healthy cold/flu season without too much drama!
