Spring at the Arboretum, Part 2

After all that running around and exploring, we were ready to eat lunch! So we enjoyed the best strawberry lemonade.....

Chicken salad sandwiches

and hummus!

My first picture with all 4 of my babies!

Yay Spring!!!!

Spring at the Arboretum, Part 1

We absolutely love the aboretum, and we practically live there in the Spring and Summer. So today the weather was beautiful, so we decided to make a morning of it.

Of course we  had to stop and visit Bert the horse on the way there.

Hampton in the greenhouse.

And Thatcher slept most of our 3 hour visit.

Three wild ones in the greenhouse. They loved getting sprayed by the mists of water.

Thatcher all swaddled cozy in the BOB.

Wishing well.

Eleanor in the quilt of flowers.

So pretty!

And handsome......

Looking for bullfrogs. They weren't out today.

My wild boys playing the woods. The perfect pace for a boy to play!

Everett crawled through this hollowed out tree.

And poor Pooh bear got stuck.

Ice Cream Sundae Day

Awhile ago I researched quirky holidays and found that today was national "Ice-Cream Sundae" day. So, in exchange for the boys promise to take a good nap (which they did), we celebrated. Vanilla bean ice cream topped with chocolate sauce, sprinkles, and a cherry of course.....the boys were in heaven!

Easter

We had such a wonderful Easter! On Saturday evening we went to our church's Egg Scramble. It was the first year that Hampton really understood to collect eggs and put them in his basket. It was so fun to watch all the children run around with their baskets.

And these two are always quite a pair- Adley and Hampton

And Everett was hilarious collecting eggs! He was quick.

I loved how Adley collected only pink eggs

Friends!

Our church has a huge parking lot and it was quite a trek to walk from the sanctuary to our car-so we picked up some cookies along the way in the lobby. I had to take a picture of Eleanor post chocolate chip cookie.

Easter morning

Dyeing eggs

And we were blessed to have received an invitation to have Easter lunch with friends. This meant less cooking and fabulous company! We had smoked chicken (so good!), sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, broccoli salad, and challah bread. Everything was delicious.

And Jordan made the most beautiful, and yummy, carrot cake.

Such a wonderful Easter weekend with our family and friends.
