Hampton Cole

Hampton you are one! Here are some things I want to remember about you at this moment in time.......

You are super cuddly and affectionate. You love to snuggle and can be very laid back.
You like to play "peek-a-boo"
You have a great appetite. You make a "mmm" sound when we aren't feeding you fast enough.
You have started making this silly face every time we take your picture.

You are crawling great now and are into everything! You somehow know exactly what you shouldn't be getting into and go right to that.
You love to laugh and smile. I think you already have a great sense of humor.
You are sleeping great. You take an hour and half nap in the morning and then a two and a half hour nap in the afternoon.
You are starting to really have separation anxiety.

You love to watch your Everett. Although sometimes it seems he "annoys" you and you squawk at him.
You are 24 pounds and wear 12-18 month clothing.
You love bath time!
You wave your arms every time you hear music, almost as though you are dancing.
You still are taking medicine for the hemangioma on your eye, but soon we will be weaning you have that. So far it isn't affecting your eyesight, so that is such a blessing!
You are going to be a big brother!

Hampton, you are such a joy. What an amazing addition to our family!

1-Year Party

Hampton's 1-year birthday party was today. It is 9:30 pm and I am exhausted, but it was such a fun day! Our "theme" for the party was really centered around the food-spaghetti and meatballs. I will say part of the food selection was based on my pregnancy cravings, however Hampton is a little meatball so it worked.

I was thankful for our stock pot today because we were making a meal for 12 people.

I made the meatballs and I think they turned out pretty well!

Zeke was one of our guests......

and Daniel.
Hampton eating his lunch. He didn't nap well this morning, but still was in a good mood.

Hampton and Yvonne our babysitter. They love Yvonne.

Hampton loved his cupcake. We had carrot cake cupcakes.

Aunt Mary and Everett, who also enjoyed the cupcakes.

Everett had a ball with all the people. He took right to Jed, Mary's boyfriend and kept asking him to chase him around the house. He was also so happy to see his Gigi, Uncle Jason, and Aunt Becky. His Nonny is also here visiting and he had a fun time shopping with her before the party. He loves to shop!

We had such a great day. As I write this I think back to one year ago. At exactly midnight my water broke and only a few short hours later our Hampton was born. He is such a joy and I have loved this year with him.
