Christmas Morning

We had such a lovely Christmas. Once I get everything uploaded from my phone I'll have a few more posts to share.
Christmas is so special with young ones. Due to a lighter work day, we were able to go to the candlelight service on Christmas Eve. This year, the three older ones attended with us at the service. They did so well! The best part for them was of course lighting all the candles. It was a beautiful sight. Afterward they opened their stockings.
Christmas morning entailed four very excited children. I always try to spend a good deal of time thinking and researching gifts. This year was another hit! We spend time opening one gift at a time so no moment is missed. The big boys were thrilled with their Lego sets, Minecraft handbooks and the Stink book series. They also got walkie talkies which they have loved. Eleanor was thrilled with a few craft sets, her own Lego set, a new Barbie and a blankie mermaid tail. And Thatcher.....we all things Mickey Mouse of course. His love for that mouse is going almost 3 years strong and I love it!
We gifted the children this year with the most beautiful Disney watercolor artwork. It is now displayed over our mantle.

In a couple months Everett will be studying Paddington Bear for literature. He loved this gift!
And Thatcher got a new robe which is beyond cute on him.
Eleanor's blankie tail. So sweet on our girl.

 Four very happy children!
Watching our new movie, Beauty and the Beast while eating a Christmas breakfast of cinnamon rolls and veggie bacon.
 The best we could get.
Running to get in front of the tree before the timer goes off on the camera. Perhaps a new game?
Such a wonderful Christmas!

Touches of Christmas

This is our first Christmas at this home and I wanted to continue to bring the little touches of Christmas to help us get excited and in the spirit! I picked up a couple new little things this year that made our home feel cozy and special.
Below is our new flameless candle that is on a timer. It flickers like a real candle and it is so cozy in the evening. And our little elf statue carrying a stack of presents. Cannot remember where we got him from.
Olaf is a new addition this year! And we have absolutely loved that this home has a gas fireplace.
Some artwork from our unit on reindeers.

We got our farmhouse table earlier this year so I needed a new runner that would fit. It was impossible to find but I love this plaid pattern. Another flameless candle and our new Santa.

This is above the kitchen sink-when Eric's dad and stepmom came to visit they brought the cute little plant and I've loved having a live plant in the kitchen!
 Cards from friends.
Our Christmas banner went perfect here.
And when we were visiting Durham we picked up a new Christmas mat!
I made this sign a couple years ago and it went perfect in our windowsill in the half bath. And our little mini nativity.
And the children picked out this Bath and Body Works candle-Hot Cocoa and Cream. It smells wonderful!
