Water, Rocks, Trees

This afternoon, the boys and I headed to Black Mountain to meet Eric at his office. We visited and then all four of us headed to a park we had heard about. It's called Robert Lake or is also known as "Montreat Park" since it's at Montreat Conference Center. It was so fun! It had amazing playground equipment, real "North Carolina creeks", beautiful trees.....wonderful. Everett was so excited he practically floated into the park. His feet barely hit the pavement, he was running so fast.

Everett loved the water. He waltzed right into it, before Eric or I could stop him. His shoes were drenched.
I must say I had some fun too. I ran around, climbed through the tunnels, slid down the slide....

I had fun dreaming of Hampton and Everett playing together at that park one day. I will still play too though!

Beautiful right!?! The park, not me. Ha!

Everett was way overheated at this point, and it was close to supper time.

Hampton napped most of the time, but he did awake near the end of our jaunt. He was all smiles.

This picture accurately describes how Everett felt about leaving. He was leaving behind his favorite things....water, rocks, and trees. "Bye-bye trees" he cried as we dragged him out of the park to the car. He quickly got over it as the car's AC cooled him down and the promise of food was given.

We'll be back soon. Maybe this weekend!?!
