The Scoop On.....

Warning. This post is incredibly random and somewhat graphic. Reader discretion is advised.
Never in all my days did I ever think I would discuss or deal with poop as much as I do on a daily basis. Having a baby will do this to you. When Everett was first born, Eric and I would actually talk about what his poop looked like. For his first appointment at the pediatrician, I distinctly remember the doctor asking, "So, how is his poop?" Hmm, how do you respond to that? I even remember looking at a baby book that discussed, in detail mind you, what an infant's poop should look like and had pictures to accompany, just in case you still were unsure. Even now...as Everett is approaching the 8 month mark, the inner workings of my son's bowels still continue to be a topic of discussion. It is not an uncommon occurrence where I am required to drain the bathtub due to a poopy incident. Just last night, while Everett was taking a bath and I was reading him his Bible story, he looked over at me and I knew. He had that look in his eye and began grunting. "No Everett. Please don't......" And then it happened. Poop. Oh well. Being pooped on, changing poop, and/or dealing with poop is all worth it. However Eric and I will continue to ask the question..."How could something so sweet and little, create something so foul?"
