Popsicles and Pools

Our boys had a ton of fun the other day in our 10 dollar wading pool and with a couple of popsicles. I got to sit in a folding chair and just watch the fun! They entertained themselves for a good hour.

At 3 and 5 years old these two are the best of buds. Sure they can get into the occasional wrestling match every now and then (and not always in good fun) but they love each other.

Baby Days

Last week Eric took our big boys to Georgia to visit his mom. They had a great time and I was excited to spend time with just my littlest of ones. It definitely was not the "breeze" I thought it was going to be, but I got to know them even more!

This little one, now at 6 months, is so fun! He is on the brink of sitting up independently, loves to jump in his jumper roo, wears 6-9 month clothing, loves to giggle and belly laugh, loves to watch the big kids play, loves bath time, and LOVES food. He took right to solid food and squeals at the sight of his baby spoon. We had so much fun those few days with lots of extra snuggles.

And oh my sassy girl. My little firecracker. The girl is into everything (much more than the boys ever were) and she is fearless. And loud. And quick. I loved my special time with her as well. We played babies, and she pretended she was a puppy, we watched her favorite show Special Agent Oso, and we rocked and rocked before bed time.

Church Picture

It's Sunday morning and they are freshly bathed, smelling of baby lotion, teeth brushed, and in their Sunday best- I therefore must try to take a good picture.

This was last Sunday-

And this was this Sunday-

Not too bad! At least they are mostly all looking at the camera!

The Baby Train

So the other day the children decided to make a choo choo train......

And this little one was wishing he could join in!

Due to the fact the all of our children are mosquito magnets and are sensitive to heat, we don't really get outside all that often.

But when the mosquitos are at bay and it is cooler, they love it!

Little Years

I try to never take for granted my time with our babies. Their "little years" can be tough sometimes, but I know one day I will miss them at this age. Yesterday morning we took our 4 to the park and had a great time.
This little missy is entering into the "terrible twos." Or I guess I should say the tough twos. The girl has got some sass.

I lined up the 3 on the bench and this is the best picture I got!

My pretty girl.

My handsome boy. I can't believe he starts kindergarten this month! We ordered his backpack and lunch box a couple days ago and today we went to Target and picked up his school supplies.

Oh my snuggle bug Hampton. He has been recently attached to Mama. He is the most affectionate child! He gives me kisses out of the blue and is always up for a cuddle. I just love him!

These two are just trouble! They are non-stop energy from sunrise to sunset.

And my Thatcher. My sweet chunky Thatcher. I love this baby.

Mama and her babes. Yes, I am soaking it all in.

Ellie's Baby

Eric and I gave Ellie her birthday gift a little early-a Cabbage Patch doll baby! I loved doll babies as a little girl and I am so thrilled that Eleanor does to! She loves this baby. She came with a bottle and a paci and her name is Addie. Let's face it.....I love this doll baby too!

Summer Time and the Living is Easy

Okay, well maybe the living isn't exactly easy, but that's what comes with the territory of having 4 children under 5. We have had a good summer though. We aren't exactly jet setting, taking vacations or anything like that-but we've enjoyed the weather and just doing things at home.

We have moved the "big boys" bed time an hour later (it is now 8) so that they will hopefully sleep until at least 6:30/7 in the morning. We have done it for 2 days now, so we will see. We have tried to keep them up so they can see the fireflies at night, but they don't really come out until 9. Hampton has also dropped his afternoon nap, although he will occasionally sleep for a couple hours here and there. I also keep telling Everett that one day he and Hampton will have bunk beds. He is not happy about that idea. I guess he is afraid of sleeping on the top bunk. Maybe when he is 6 we'll try it?

I am also happy to report that other than at night, Hampton is completely potty trained! It's about time! I suppose it will be Eleanor's turn to get trained soon. Something tells me she will be a whole lot easier.

So far this summer we've tried getting out in the morning and doing something outside if the weather is nice. In the afternoons we mostly rest and play in the play room. We have enjoyed popsicles, playing in the pool, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, bike riding, taking walks around the neighborhood, and playing at the park.

The babies and I right after bath time. Notice how Everett is kissing Thatcher's hand. He LOVES him!

My mini hipsters.

This girl can rock just about anything.

The boys have recently started playing with "tiny Legos." I am amazed at their fine motor skills. Even I have a hard time pulling some of those blocks apart.

I have now upgraded Eleanor to the really big hair bows.

And Eleanor loves playing with her kitchen.

Poor Thatcher. Eleanor put this wipe on his head and declared it a hat.

I forget how chunky he is until he is with other babies his age. He is our bubba.

Buddies. I was looking through some baby pictures of Hampton this morning and was just amazed at how much these two resemble each other! Both handsome boys.
