Morning Play Date
Eric's mom left early this morning (after being here all week to help) so that left me with all three babies! Fortunately I had already set-up a morning play date with Sally Ann and her girls. Such a big help, plus we love their company.

They stayed for the majority of the morning. It was so funny having five kids now who are three and under! Here is Sally Ann having "story time" before naps.

Two and a Half Weeks
Lil sis had a doctor's visit this morning. I was very interested to see how much weight she had put on. 9 days ago at our first doctor's appointment she weighed 6 pounds 2 ounces. Well today she weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces. Only 1 ounce away from 7 pounds! She is doing great.
She nurses every 3 hours, almost to the minute.
She wakes up about 3 times during the night to nurse and then goes right back to sleep.
She sleeps in her crib during the night, however likes to be near me for her naps during the day.
She rarely crys, except when she is ready to eat.
Her cord stump fell off a few days ago, so she now can have a tub bath (which we haven't done yet).
Eleanor's temperment is amazingly sweet. She is starting to wake up from "newborn coma" a bit and is staying alert for longer stretches of time.
We just love this sweet pink baby and so do our boys!

Time with the Babies
Trying to balance time with all 3 babies will definitely take some thought. Right now most of my time is spent with Eleanor nursing and holding her. I have been blessed that with each child I have had the opportunity to spend special one-on-one time with them their first week. This has been so important in establishing a bond. So, this has been our set-up for the past week......
The other day however I got out with just my boys. Eric and Eleanor stayed at the house and rested. We are waiting at least a month before we take Eleanor out into the world. My attempts to keep germs away! I loved spending this time with the boys and I felt "normal" once again.

A Few Firsts
Yesterday Eleanor went to her first pediatrician's appointment. She is doing great. When we left the hospital she weighed 6 pounds (5 ounces lower than her birth weight) and now she weighs 6 pounds 2 ounces. She has a touch of jaundice, but doesn't need any intervention. She was excited to ride in her car seat again and slept the whole way there.
She doesn't get out right now, so I dressed her up for her appointment.
And today was Everett's first day back to preschool. I can't believe he is now in the 3's class. His teacher's name is Mrs. Stevens and she is so sweet.
