A New Year 2

I am writing this post from my phone, which is a bit tricky but I am so grateful to be back online. Eric and I got new phones and a cell phone plan with internet,so we are connected once again. Eric is continuing to stay busy at work and has started traveling, which he loves. I am enjoying being able to spend loads of quality time with Everett. I have been trying to get creative with entertainment for him and we try to go on an outing at least every other day. Baby Hampton is doing great. He is so active and is measuring perfectly. If he comes on his due date he'll be here in two and a half months. We are continuing to live in temporary housing here at Ridgecrest, but are blessed to say we found a house and are under contract. We are set to close at the end of next month. A bit close to my due date, but God's timing is perfect, who am I to question it? I love the house. We set out looking for a starter home, and found an "ender" home. In other words, a house we see ourselves in for a long time. We love the neighborhood, location, layout, and the space it provides. Once we paint and decorate I'll post pictures. Other than that we are trying to daily remind ourselves of all the Lord has blessed us with amongst all the stress that comes with moving and trying to get settled in a new place. I will say this, what a beautiful location God has called us to. We went out for pizza the other night in Black Mountain and enjoyed magnificant mountain views. I hate to have another pictureless post, but until I can get to a computer, it'll just be my ramblings. Hope your new year is going well!

A New Year

Wow. It has been a long time since I have written a post. This past month has been a chaotic blur. In the past few weeks we have moved to North Carolina, survived a massive snowstorm that had left us pretty much stranded in our temporary home for almost a week, celebrated Christmas in Georgia, and have just tried to "survive" all the big changes. The huge blessing is that it is so apparent that the Lord has definitely called us to where we are and Eric loves his job. I also love being at home with Everett. I have gotten to know him even better through all of this. Other updates would include me entering into my 3rd trimester. I found a great OB practice in Asheville and at my first appointment the doctor said that baby Hampton is doing great! Actually both of my little boys have done great through all of this. Everett has been moved around here and there and has been such the trooper. We have all had to be pretty flexible and he has adapted well. We are also in the process of looking for our first home. It has definitely been an adventure as well. More to come on that later I hope! Through everything the Lord has shown us that we need to continue to place all of our faith in Him and depend on Him for everything. Although all of the changes and transition has been somewhat stressful, I am excited for the changes as this new year approaches. Our first home, the expansion of our family, Eric's new job, and the ability to be home more Ev and Hampton. The Lord has truly blessed our little family and we are so thankful! Our temporary housing lacks the Internet (and tv!) so it is difficult for me to consistently blog, but I hope to add some new pictures of Everett soon. More to come!

Boxes

Our life has become about boxes. Boxes, boxes, everywhere you look, boxes. Or, as Everett sees it....his own personal jungle gym. We are so excited about our move and the changes that it brings. But I will be happy to be rid of all the boxes!

Free Entertainment

How do the Williamson "live it up" on a Saturday night? We go to Von Maur dept. store and listen to the piano lady. This truly is a favorite activity of Everett's. There have been multiple occasions where we have spent at least an hour there. Even better, last Saturday night she took our requests and played a variety of Christmas music. Everett is quite the spectacle. He dances and dances and has been known to draw a crowd. Sounds silly, but it really is fun. Several of the pianists even know Everett by name now! This same night we also went and got Ev's picture taken (or "made" as they say in the South) with Santa. He was so funny. He ran right up to Santa and said "hi!" He didn't cry when I put him on Santa's lap, but he gave his "stone face" and would not break a smile. The camera lady asked if I could get him to smile, but I answered with a honest "no." I really can't. I was just happy he didn't cry, but I should have known he wouldn't with his love for characters.

Thankful

Today, on Thanksgiving Day, I am very thankful for so many things. I am thankful for an amazing husband, a spunky and loving little boy, for my other little boy on the way, for Eric's new job and the changes that it brings, for good food, and for the love and salvation of Christ. The list really could go on and on for the Lord has blessed me and my family tremendously and we are grateful.
"Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above coming down from the Father of lights." James 1:17
Because of Eric moving this weekend, we decided to spend Thanksgiving here in Louisville. Everett started getting sick last night and was up all night coughing. Today he still was sick with a cough/cold. He still played hard, however barely ate anything all day! Eric and I however still enjoyed our dinner we put together. We spent all day eating, lounging, watching Everett play, and watching movies. It was so nice to just relax and stay home all day long. That rarely happens and the day felt so much longer. Tomorrow I plan on going shopping early and then meeting Eric and Everett for breakfast. We even might go see Santa later this weekend! Overall, another great Thanksgiving.....next year we'll have another little boy to chase around!

Headed to the Mountains

Well, the Williamsons are moving to the mountains! Eric has accepted a wonderful job in North Carolina working as a sales representative for Ridgecrest, a Lifeway conference center. We have prayed for this for many months, and for many months the Lord has worked out our faith and we have grown closer to Him through all of this. I won't say that over the past 5-6 months we haven't had our ups and downs, but truly God has used all of this and has worked in the wait. This job will allow me to stay at home more with our children and for that I feel so blessed! Even in the chaos and new stresses that this change brings, we welcome it all knowing what a huge answer to prayer this is. Our faith definitely does not stop here. We are a blessed family.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

YAY!
