It started Wednesday afternoon. Hampton was downstairs in the playroom and I suddenly noticed he was standing alone unassisted. Gail and I then encouraged him to take a few steps and he did! By the end of the night he was doing laps around the house! We are so proud of him. He is still mastering this skill, but keeps growing in his confidence and getting better each day. We are so excited.

One Big Post
Which I now will break down into smaller posts......
This girl. I don't know what to say. I just love her. She is the sweetest baby and already is so adored by her big brothers-especially Everett. Today he said she was his best friend. My heart just may explode.
Apples and Gigi. Eric's mom (aka Gigi) was here this past week to help me out since Eric was out of town on business. Oh what a help she was. We had fun. We did things like-go to Barnes and Noble. Eat out at Chick Fil A. Go to story time at the library. And Hampton happened to achieve a huge milestone this week-walking! But more about that later. She also provided cute little apples for the boys to eat.

And Everett ate it to the core!
Story Time. Story time brings out the differences in my boys personalities. Everett is safe and secure in the back-pictured here with Gigi.
Whereas my Hampton is the happiest in the front. He likes to be amongst the kids and makes his rounds saying hi to everyone (at least his version of hi-giving kisses and getting in people's faces). He is very social.
And my sweet girl that day. She is great at getting out and about.
Messes. This is what I found after being upstairs for maybe 10 minutes cooking dinner. A big DVD mess. Ev was quick to tell me this was all Hampton's doing.
Why going to Target yesterday made me feel like a champ. I went by myself.....for the first time...with all 3 babies! And it went great! On the 3 minute drive it takes to get there I went over with Everett my expectations for his behavior and what we would do. They were promised juice boxes and I immediately delivered. 
We had fun. They directed the trip. They were mesmerized by the Christmas lights. We stayed here for awhile. Everett wanted to see the bikes. So we did. He wanted me to get on a bike. So I did. We spend a large amount of time in the Halloween display. We picked out glow in the dark pumpkins. Everett said as we were walking out, "We had a good time didn't we?" We did. And I have restored confidence that I can do this mothering 3 small children thing.
Playing outside in Autumn. The crisp breeze and crunch of leaves under your feet is the best.
What's even better is going inside to the smell of chili in the crock pot. Oh and chocolate milk. I have had a craving for that lately. Which I indulged.
Oh-and a baby who can finally, at almost 19 months, stand up on his own. So proud of him. I think he is pretty proud of himself as well.
Have I mentioned yet she is so sweet!? Headband compliments of Aunt Mary.

The BIG Slide
Everett going down the big slide! Unfortunately it is sideways. We were so proud of him!
Greek Festival
Yesterday was very fun. After nap time we went to the Greek Festival in the downtown area of Asheville. We told Everett on the way there-when he asked where we were going-that we would listen to music, eat good food, and play. He was very excited! 
We definitely have more of a caravan now. We had the double stroller and Everett walked alongside.
We had the best ice-cream-Baklava and Pistachio.
They had a bunch of inflatables set-up. I was very unsure if Everett would want to go on any of them-but he shocked Eric and I and was fearless. These two "big boys" helped Everett up the big ladder and were able to convince him to go down the slide. He loved it and went many times!
He also loved the bounce house.
And Hampton loved the ball pit. He is so funny with other children. He is so social and always shares and tries to give his famous open mouth kisses!
Little Eleanor. She did so well! She napped part of the time and was happy and alert the remainder.
She also liked being carried in the Baby Bjourn.

Saturday we had a nice day. We went to Chick Fil A for lunch. The boys love Chick Fil A and so do we! They had fun playing in the play area afterward. After lunch we went to Sam's Club to get a few things and then it was home for naps.

The Ham at 18 Months
I can't believe my baby boy is 18 months! The other day I took him to his well child visit and here are his stats:
Hampton weighs almost 28 pounds and is in the 50-75th percentile. He is in the 75th percentile for height. His head circumference is in the 95th percentile. Hampton met and even excelled in all of his milestones with the exception of gross motor skills. Hampy is still not walking! He has demonstrated all the signs of almost walking. He cruises, stands for a few seconds on his own, climbs stairs and on top of furniture, and he even climbed down the ladder to our play set outside. He is just so unsure of letting go and taking steps independently. Our pediatrician recommended PT and at this point I am all for it. I am a firm believer in early intervention (which is good since I am a therapist myself!) and I am ready for some tips and an outside facilitator. I am going to try to schedule appointments while Everett is in preschool so I will only have Hampton and Eleanor. I am going to look at it as being a fun experience. Other things I want to remember about Hampton......
-He is very extroverted! He loves people and is social with perfect strangers.
-He is saying "no" a lot lately-including when I ask him to try to walk.
-His vocabulary expands every day. He says over 20 words and it keeps growing. For example, today he added "pumpkin" and "eat"
-He loves Everett-most of the time. He loves to give him hugs and open mouth kisses.
-He often will share his toys.
-He wears 18-24 month clothing.
-He also loves his baby sister and is a bit too rough with her!
-He loves to watch "Melmo" aka Elmo.
-He is super sweet and cuddly. On the same token, he'll turn on you in a second! He has a funny way of "yelling" at you. He has also recently had a problem with hitting and biting. This boy is definitely going to give us a run for our money.
I just love our Hampton. I've said it once and I will say it again-He is a GREAT addition to our family!

My Day with the Three
Yesterday was my first day completely solo with the three babies. Overall I think it went well, however I was completely exhausted-by noon! Being up all night nursing a baby and then waking up to take care of a baby, toddler, and preschooler is some serious work. I wanted to document our day for memories sake. I documented every aspect of the day.
This picture is not from yesterday, but from Sunday night. We gave Hampton a chocolate chip cookie in the car on the way home from church and this was his face afterward.
Okay so here goes:
6:15-Eleanor woke up and I got her dressed for the day. By 7:00 the boys were up. They had waffles for breakfast and watched Sesame Street. 7:30-I nursed Eleanor and put her down for a nap in her nursery. Boys played in the playroom. 8:15- I did an art project with Everett while Hampton watched a video.
This is our project for the day.
And we made a caterpillar.
Everett expresses his own creativity with glitter glue and pom poms.
8:45-Eleanor is back up. She only wants to be held. 9:15-I transition Eleanor to her swing in the playroom and the boys and I play restaurant with play food. 9:45-Snack of applesauce and yogurt for the boys. 10:00-I nurse Eleanor.

10:45-We all bundle up and go outside on the back deck to play. Everett and Hampton take turns pushing each other in the Cozy Coup car. Everett discovers a fuzzy caterpillar and is thrilled to share with Hampton. Eleanor nuzzles on my chest. I think I snuggled her in at least three blankets because of the chill in the air. 11:30- Boys have lunch.
12:00-Boys nap. 12;30-Eleanor is now awake and nurses. I watch the Dick Van Dyke show while I nurse her and try to eat some lunch. I also manage to pay some bills and make a few doctor's appointments. 2:00-Boys are back up and have a snack. I nurse Eleanor to sleep and put her in her nursery for another nap. 3:00-Eleanor is back up. Boys play. 3:30-Everett requests we do another art project-which we do. 4:00-We head back outside to play. It has warmed up a little more. 5:00-I try to fix dinner. 5:20-Eric is home!
