Our sweet Thatcher Reid, the true baby of our family, turned 2 earlier this month. In true Williamson style, we kept his birthday simple. I re-used birthday items passed down from one child to the next, blew up some balloons, make chicken nuggets, and bought some mini cupcakes. We got Thatcher a little slide and a train set.
Our children are a huge fan of our family birthday parties.
Everett overly-excited about his cupcake!
And then after dinner and treats it was time for some games. I'll call this one the "waddle balloon game."
And our version of an egg race, but instead of an egg a large craft pom pom.
Pom Pom races.
And 3-legged races.
He turned 2 and just like that he was inducted into their boys club.
And what to say about our sweet Thatcher Reid.......
He loves cuddles and gives the best bear hugs.
He also loves anyone who is willing (or unwilling) to wrestle with him.
His favorite current phrase is "don't want to." I hear this at least 25 times a day.
He loves bath time and I think he'll love swimming one day.
He has big blue eyes and blond corn silk hair.
He sleeps in the same position, his cute body over his little pillow with his feet sticking out of his crib....every single night.
He is really getting good at doing his peg puzzles.
And loves to color (scribble).
He still loves milk. Loves milk!
He is a picky toddler eater.
He sometimes runs as though he is out of control of his body. Like he cannot stop himself. And the look on his face is priceless.
He is living up to his age of 2 now with new defiance and learning all about "time out."
When he really wants something he'll eagerly sign "more" and it is adorable.
He loves lights and finding the lights in a room.
He loves Mickey Mouse.
He takes a 2-3 hour nap every day and goes to bed with all the children at 7.
He is very loved by all our children and they exhibit the most self-control with him (example-holding back from retailating when he pushes them to their limit!)
He is the perfect "baby" in our family. He is our Thatcher Reid.
