Pitter Patter of Little Feet
Our friends the Burkes came for a visit yesterday. We met at the Biltmore Estate. It happened to be a very busy day, and we had two toddlers, two babies, two pregnant mamas, and two dadas in tow. We made it through two floors and then low blood sugar and nap time quickly ended our visit. We then headed back to our house, put all the kids to bed and then Amy and I headed to the store and got some things to cook dinner. We had spagetti and meatballs and garlic bread with cupcakes for dessert. The best part of the day was watching all the boys interact and play with one another.
Hampton seemed to enjoy playing with another "little person."

Chasing Messes
Well it is not even 3:00 yet, both boys are napping and although I am sure I will have more stories of "messes" to clean up today, I had to share our day so far.
Hampton woke up this morning with a big mess of a diaper. Jammies were dirtied for sure and I am now convinced I will never buy cheap diapers again. It is just not worth it. Mess #1.
Everett's preschool got cancelled due to weather (which I was confused about because the weather seemed fine) so he stayed home with us this morning. This kind of threw off my morning because I had some things planned for while Hampton was taking his morning nap. One was to bake some cookies, which I still tried to do, so I set Everett up with Play Doh. Mess #2. A big, crumbly multi-colored mess to be exact.
I then went downstairs to find Everett had managed to trash the playroom in only a matter of minutes. Mess #3. When I was getting Hampton up from his morning nap, I mistakenly left Everett downstairs to his own devices. In a matter of 3 minutes he completely cleared out a cabinet in our dining room and was playing with the contents. Luckily nothing broke! Mess #4.

I decided to take the babies to Target to pick up a few things. I had them all dressed and ready to go when Everett announced, "Mama I pooped in my underwears!" While I was cleaning up Mess #5, I set Hampton up in the middle of the kitchen with some plastic cups and spoons for entertainment. He managed to army crawl his way over to the dog's water bowl and pour it all over himself and the floor! At that point when I saw a drenched Hampton and Mess #6, I just couldn't help myself but to burst out laughing. Laugh at our crazy morning and laugh at the fact that I now I have two rascals to chase around. Life is definitely busy with two young children, so why not just add one more to the mix!?!

Cravings
This pregnancy has been very different than my first two. For one, I have had some serious morning sickness/nausea that has pretty much lasted all day. With Everett and Hampton I wasn't sick at all. I have also been having some serious cravings. I usually get at least one each day and they are pretty specific. Some examples have been: salt and vinegar potato chips, lo mein with wontons, Brixx pizza, Carabbas Mama Mandola soup with lots of bread, Jelly Belly jelly beans, pickles, hummus with rye bread, olives, and pasta to name a few. They hit me hard and I must indulge! So today on this cold and windy day I craved Coldstone birthday cake ice-cream. I shared my idea with Everett to go and get some and he thought that was a great idea.
Hours later and he is still talking about our ice-cream date!

One On One
Yesterday Eric and I split up the boys and spent some one-on-one time with each of them. I took Everett. I decided to take him to a children's museum in downtown Hendersonville called Hands-On. It was our first time and really cute.
Everett really liked this exhibit. It was putting these tiny balls through different mazes.
