Helper Boy

Everett has become very interested in helping lately, which is great! We have a lot of trees in our front and back yard, so now raking has become a Fall chore. Everett loved helping us and I think he really felt like a big boy.

Our Brown Eyed Boy

Eric took these pictures of Everett last week and I just love them. I guess he is the "photographer" in our family.

I love this one because Everett's "nigh nigh" is in it. Everett has had this sheep from birth and he is completely worn out from love. Everett totes him everywhere and hugs him while he sleeps at night. This is definitely his security and comfort item.

We're Still Fallin'

Today has been beautiful! This morning was clear and crisp. The temperature was actually around 45 degrees! A burst of ambition caused me to venture out with the babies and get some errands out of the way. We had a little photo shoot though beforehand......

Hampton did really well while we were out. We stopped at Target first, and I actually got to spend a good deal of time shopping with no meltdowns from either baby!

Everett really enjoys shopping. He loves to work his charm on everyone.

After Target we went to Wal-Mart and Hampton fell asleep in the buggy.

I really enjoyed a productive and dare I say, relaxing morning with the babies today. They are napping now catching up on some much needed rest.

Doctor's Visits

Between trips to the opthamologist, cardiologist, and pediatrician, we are going to the doctor often these days. Yesterday we had two different doctor's visits scheduled (now why do I do that to myself?). In the morning we went to the cardiologist for Hampton. He has to go every 2-4 weeks to regulate and adjust his medication (he takes heart meds for his hemangioma on his eye). He is doing great! 22 pounds the chubby thing. Can you count the rolls!?!

Everett did well too. He cried a bit in the waiting room, but calmed down once we got into the exam room and he spotted the toys. He really loved playing with the toy food. We'll have to get him some for Christmas.

Hampton is doing so well sitting up now! He barely ever falls over. He still isn't the best at rolling over. I think it is that big head.

Later in the day I took both boys to the pediatrician for the rest of their vaccinations. Everett screamed loudly and Hampton barely flinched. So funny their different reactions! Next week we have no appointments scheduled. What will we do with our time!?!

Babies At Play

On Saturday we headed down to South Carolina to visit our good friends the Burke family. We always have a really good time together. We first went out to lunch. Silas and Hampton are the same age and we lined them up next to each other at the restaurant. This just cracked us all up! It also made me realize how large my baby is. He just weighed in at 22 pounds. Chubby, happy baby. That pretty much describes our Hampton boy.

Everett didn't make it in the picture! He was there though.

After lunch we went to Pumpkintown (the real name of the town) for their Pumpkin Festival.

They had bales of hay and pumpkins and this made the perfect place for some pictures. The boys looked so sweet.

Everett's "contemplative" look.

I really wanted a family shot. Too bad Hampy wasn't looking up.

Everett and Wyatt had fun playing with one another. By the end of the day they were chasing one another throughout the house.

Our day was long, but so fun. We always can guarantee a great day when we spend it with the Burkes!

Perfect Autumn Sunday

Yesterday was wonderful! The chill in the air and scent of "Pumpkin Spice" from Yankee Candle made for a very cozy day. In the morning we went to church. The babies looked so cute in their Fall clothes, that I tried to get a few good pictures. I wasn't very successful however......

This is a good one of our "Ham"

A little brotherly love going on.

After Sunday afternoon naps, we went to Barnes and Noble to read and have a very special treat. Everett had a chocolate and peanut butter cupcake. Needless to say, he loved it! He shed big tears when he was finished crying for "more please."

When then went home and played in our back yard. The sod guy finished it last week, so we have been having so much fun playing!

After dinner (barbecue chicken and potato soup) I attempted for more pictures.

Everett is just horrible about taking pictures. As soon as he sees the camera, he yells "no" or just cries. Being 2 has its challenges.

I feel so blessed to have my family. I had many "moments" yesterday where I just thought, "ahh, this is so good." I just want to store it away in my memory forever!
